My Reason

Probably a strange name I'm quite sure, the whole point of me starting a blog is mainly to try and keep a track of my life and the endless things that happen in it!! I want my children and family to be able to read this when we are older and realise that they are and always will be my reason for being here.

Work!!

Well, one more day done and finished at work out of the 10 that I have to do per year!.  To be honest I think I enjoyed it there and managed to surprise myself with how much I remembered!  I do forget alot of the time that their is a small (very small) brain inside my head that knows stuff.  Feel I was quite helpful too as I managed to get a fair amount of work done.

Just sitting here preparing for Brownies tonight.  I took over officially at the beginning of January and have had a really good time and have found it to be a learning experience for me too.  I have surprised myself with just how much patience I have with the girls and it would seem that my perserverance with the changes I have made is starting to pay off.  One girl is moving up to Guides tonight so I've got her leaving certificate sorted out (feeling exceptionally smug as I have managed to do it on the computer) even managed to find a Brownies leaving badge at the depot on Tuesday night so I can give that to her too.  My mentor is coming along tonight to see how I'm doing with my course so hopefully she will be able to sign a load of my stuff 'off' which I think will leave me with not very much else to do!!

One of my best friends - Tanya has volunteered to start helping out at Sam (her son's) Beaver group once a month.  I got a text on Tuesday night after her first help session saying how much she had enjoyed it!  I challenge you now Tanya to not help out more often than once a month! it does become addictive!

Tonigh we are making self portraits on paper plates in preparation for our world thinking day service on Sunday in Shiremoor.  Should be interesting although I don't want to spend too long doing that as we've got other things to do too.
Wish oranges from our Chinese New Year celebrations!

A couple of pictures to update from this winter

Wish I knew how to rotate this one!!

  1. I LOVE that picture of you and Hannah, it is gorgeous!!! Less of the small brain please, I happen to know it is a brain bursting with intelligence!!! And yes, it will be hard not to volunteer more - but having a husband who is not here a lot helps enormously as I cannot commit!! (wish I could though)
